  1. Sunset Concert: 4EVERFAB Beatles Tribute Band

    June 19, 2018, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM @ Sunset Lake

    Tuesday evenings 6:00-8:00pm @ THE THOMAS AND PAMELA WHALEN GAZEBO AT SUNSET LAKE. Bring your blanket or lawn chair. Arrive early and be entertained for two free hours. These concerts are sponsored by the Town of Braintree and Braintree Electric Light Department (BELD) In the event of rain for any of these concerts, the concert will be rescheduled for the next night or Thursday night following. A sign will be posted at the main gate or you can go to braintreerec.com for further notices. This is our 23rdAnnual Sunset Concert Series. Don’t forget to bring with you a lawn chair or blanket. The early arrivers get the shady seat areas. Parking is limited at the beachfront, so if you can’t get into the parking lot, please use the lots a short distance away in South Braintree Square.

  2. Community Meeting: Proposed Weymouth Compressor Station

    June 21, 2018, 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM @ Adams Middle School, Weymouth MA

    Join us as we initiate a Health Impact Assessment (HIA) on a proposed natural gas compressor station in the Town of Weymouth. The community meeting will include an open house with a brief presentation for participants to familiarize themselves with the HIA process and the proposed decision, as well as space for discussion and public input about potential health effects and concerns related to the proposed station.

  3. Braintree Farmers Market - Strawberry Festival

    June 23, 2018, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM @ Braintree Town Hall

    Fresh local strawberries galore! C.N.Smith Farm will provide strawberries for the event. This year our Strawberry Shortcakes will be created by LollyCake Ladies-we’re thrilled! Many of our vendors will be creating products that use local, in-season strawberries. Tables & chairs will be provided under our Events Tent. Fresh picked, fragrant and juicy local strawberries will be available for purchase to take home as well. This event is sponsored by Liberty Bay Credit Union.

    June 30, 2018, 11:45 AM - 2:00 PM @ Braintree Stars and Stripes parade will step off at 11:45 AM from the parking lot of the Registry of Motor Vehicles/Bay Shore Athletic Club, 10 Plain Street and proceed north on Washington St and end at the Hollis School, 482 Washington St.

Braintree Stars and Stripes parade will step off at 11:45 AM from the parking lot of the Registry of Motor Vehicles/Bay Shore Athletic Club, 10 Plain Street and proceed north on Washington St and end at the Hollis School, 482 Washington St. This year, the committee in conjunction with the town, is planning an extensive "family program" with a food festival, music for all generations, and fireworks.

  6. Braintree Day 4th of July Celebration

A "food truck rodeo" will be held at Braintree High School, 128 Town St, Braintree, during the celebration program beginning at 2 PM after the parade has concluded. Over 25 diverse food trucks from all over New England will be on hand to offer something for everyone's appetite. Each truck will offer a variety of menu price options with three different levels that can fit into any family's budget.
