    Meet our Braintree Reads author: Roberta Gately, Author of our Braintree Reads books celebrating diversity, Ms. Gately is a nurse, humanitarian aid worker, and writer. She has served in war zones of 3rd world countries across the globe and written on the subject of refugees for the Journal of Emergency Nursing and the BBC World News Online. She speaks regularly on the plight of the world’s refugees and displaced.

    This month there's a choice of two titles by our Braintree Reads author, Roberta Gately. Footprints in the Dust is the autobiographical telling of her time as a humanitarian aid worker in war torn areas around the globe, and Lipstick in Afghanistan is an emotionally powerful and timely novel about the power of friendship. Book club books are available at the circulation desk about one month before the meeting date and are due back on the night of the discussion. All readers are always welcome!
