Braintree has formed a Hazard Mitigation Planning Committee to identify projects to mitigate the risks caused by natural hazards and climate change. The Town is working with a consultant hired by the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency to develop a Hazard Mitigation Plan that will be approved by the Federal Emergency Management Agency and adopted by the Town. The plan allows Braintree to apply for pre- and post disaster mitigation funds.
