We are thrilled to announce that Hillary Waite, Stormwater Manager for the Department of Public Works, has been recognized with the 2024 Best Stormwater Idea Award at the New England Stormy Awards!

This distinguished award, presented by the New England Stormwater Collaborative—a partnership of the New England Water Works Association, New England Water Environment Association, and the New England Chapter of the American Public Works Association—honors innovative municipal stormwater programs across the region.

Hillary’s award-winning submission, titled "Visualizing Stormwater Infiltration Through Art," showcases the Stormwater Division’s unique public outreach project, which uses custom-designed artwork to help the community better understand subsurface stormwater control measures. Her creative approach bridges the gap between technical infrastructure and public awareness through visual storytelling.
