Mayor Joyce is announcing a SNOW EMERGENCY and PARKING BAN effective 9 AM on Sunday, January 25 until 12 PM on Tuesday, January 27 in anticipation of the Winter Storm beginning Sunday morning and continuing to the next day. For residents impacted by the Parking Ban, we ask that you utilize our off-street parking locations, which include the Smith Beach, Sunset Lake, Golf Course and Watson Park parking lots.
UPDATE: East Braintree Municipal Lot and South Braintree Municipal Lot will be available for off-street parking.
Curbside trash and recycling pickup will be delayed by one day during the week of January 26. Please be sure to clear a path to your trash and recycling carts.
During and after the storm, the Department of Public Works will be working continuously to clear snow from roads and sidewalks. We appreciate your patience as our team works diligently to keep our community safe.
In conversation with our DPW and School officials any upcoming school closures will be communicated on Sunday afternoon. Please stay safe this weekend by staying off the roads and checking in on neighbors who may need assistance. Please also mind the Parking Ban during Sunday afternoons Patriots Game. We know this is going to be a major snow event and the Town is well prepared–lets make sure you are too.
