Mayor Kokoros is excited to announce the Town’s annual Christmas tree lighting will be held this Saturday, December 4th starting at 4:00 pm at Town Hall. All residents are welcome to attend this holiday event as we gather on the Town Hall Mall to enjoy hot chocolate and other holiday treats. We have some special guests that will be lighting the tree at 5:00 pm.
Additionally, on Saturday December 4th the Braintree Police Department will be holding their Fill-a-Cruiser Holiday Toy Drive from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm outside of Town Hall. In partnership with Brewster Ambulance, the Braintree Police are asking for new unwrapped toys that will be given to the Marge Crispin Center for distribution to Braintree families in need. If you are unable to attend the toy drive, toy donations can be dropped at the Braintree Police Department until December 9th.
On Sunday, December 5th the Gardner’s Guild of Braintree is hosting a holiday boutique at Town Hall from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. The craft fair is open to all residents.
Sheriff Patrick McDermott and the Norfolk County Sherriff’s Office are holding “Holiday Happenings” events at the Braintree Public Safety Complex located at 2015 Washington St. The events will take place on Friday December 3rd, Friday December 10th and Friday December 17th from 4:30 pm to 7:00 pm. The event includes crafts, games and a visit from Santa. The Sheriff’s Office will also be collecting non-perishable food items to help those in need this holiday season.
