The Braintree Recreation Department will be offering their summer programs and events which include sports and kiddos clinics, organized play at neighborhood playgrounds, field trip clinic, summertime special needs day activity program and the summer concert series sponsored by BELD.
Registration for the sports and kiddos clinics opens on Monday, April 4th. Registration for these clinics must be completed online at www.braintreerec.com.
Registration for the field trip clinic and the summertime special needs day activity program will be held in person at the Recreation Department located at 74 Pond St. Registration for field trip clinics will be held in person at 74 Pond St. on Tuesday, May 10th beginning at 5:00 pm. Registration forms for the summertime special needs day activity program will be available beginning Tuesday, April 19th in the Recreation Office. Registration forms must be completed and on file at the Recreation Department before Monday, June 15th.
Additionally, the Recreation Department and the Highway Department are still accepting employment applications for summer employment for the 2022 season. The Compost Site located at 225 Plain Street will open for the season on Friday, April 1st and will operate under normal business hours from Wednesday to Sunday from 7:15 am to 2:45 pm. At the compost site you can dispose of leaves, branches, grass clippings and other yard waste.
