“The health and safety of the residents of Braintree is of the utmost importance to me. My office, in conjunction with the Braintree Fire Department, Braintree Police Department, Municipal Licenses & Inspections, and our Town Solicitor have been working to ensure public safety improvements are made, emergency plans are updated, and prevent future incidents at Clean Harbors. I believe it is essential to keep residents informed and I want to ensure the public understands what’s transpired and has access to state agencies that regulate these operations to address all concerns for public health and safety.” Said Mayor Charles Kokoros.
The meeting will include updates from state agencies; Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (MassDEP) and Massachusetts Department of Public Health. They have been working over the past three months with our administration and our state delegation; Senator Keenan, Senator Timilty and Representative Cusack.
