On Monday, September 4th - Labor Day, all non-emergency Town buildings will be closed. Additionally, trash and recycling curbside pick-up will be delayed by one day.
On Friday, September 1st the grand opening of the new South Middle School will take place at 11 am. The ribbon cutting ceremony which will take place at the newly constructed South Middle School, and I would like to thank our voters for making this possible.
This Saturday, September 2nd the Braintree Farmer’s Market will be open at Town Hall from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.
Next Saturday, September 9th, from 5:00 pm - 7:00 p.m., the Braintree Community Youth Center located at 74 Pond Street, will continue to celebrate its "Sweet 16" anniversary year, and is inviting current and prospective members of middle school and high school-aged students to attend the annual Welcome Back Cookout on the grounds of the youth center. There is no charge for the event, and families are welcome. Tours of the center, membership applications, and volunteer sign-up sheets will be available. Come with your friends or come to make new friends.
