The Braintree Historical Society will be celebrating Heritage Day on Saturday, October 7th, from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at the General Sylvanus Thayer House, 786 Washington Street. Events will include: reenactors in 18th century attire, demonstration of 18th century woodworking, ceremonial annual turning of the cannon wheels, games for children, crafts, treats, musket salute and Thayer House tours. Additionally, the Braintree Health Department is holding a walk-in seasonal flu clinic Sunday, October 15th from 9:00am to 1:00 pm in Cahill Auditorium at Town Hall. The vaccination is free for individuals18 years of age and older and for school aged children in grades 5 through 12. The vaccine will be administered on a first come first served basis.
