  • For 2026, there are two scheduled state elections: 

            State Primary Election - September 1, 2026

            State General Election - November 3, 2026

  • The last day to register to vote for 2026 elections:


    September 1, 2026 - State Primary Election 

     Friday, August 21, 2026 - 5:00pm (last day at town hall  -  Town Clerk's Office will remain open after 1:00pm)                                                                                          Saturday, August 22, 2026 - 5:00pm  (online only - click following link:   Registering to Vote (state.ma.us) 

    November 3, 2026 - State General Election 

    Friday, October 23, 2026 - 5:00pm (last day at town hall  -  Town Clerk's Office will remain open after 1:00pm)                                                                                       Saturday, October 24, 2026 - 5:00pm  (online only - click following link:   Registering to Vote (state.ma.us)

  • The deadline for applying for an absentee or early voted ballot for scheduled 2026 elections is as follows

    Application Deadlines

    Any mail-in ballot (Absentee or Early Voted) must be requested in writing by 5 p.m. on the 5th business day before the election. Your application can only be accepted if it has reached your local election office by the deadline.

    Apply as early as possible, especially if your ballot will need to be mailed out of town. The U.S. Postal Service recommends allowing up to 7 days for mail delivery. To ensure you receive your ballot with enough time to mail it back, you should apply 2-3 weeks before Election Day.

    For in person early voting, the deadline is four (4) days prior to Election Day....

      - September 1st Election - August 28th  (1:00pm)

      - November 3rd Election - October 30th (1:00pm)

    For in person absentee voting, the deadline is noon the day before  Election Day....

      - September 1st Election - August 28th

      - November 3rd Election - October 30th

  • Beginning January 2, 2026 you can begin to apply for an absentee ballot.  

    Visit the town clerk’s office to complete an application.
